A big part of the Iron Man and a common trait among them is the willingness to put in the effort to be prepared. Nowhere is this more evident than in the “most laps” competition each round.
It is safe to say that the coins have been a success and a big motivator all year long. The series as a whole saw a big increase in practice laps (which was the idea, so yay!) but there were a handful of drivers who deserve to be recognized specifically.
In total the league did 559,823 laps during our official league practice. A half million laps! A HALF MILLION LAPS!!! Are you serious???
As for the top drivers…
Rob Courtney - 14,576
Ray Partridge - 10,648
Michael Berta - 10,106
Shawn Brown - 8,830
William Fletcher - 8,504
Ernie Ludwig - 8,250
Jake Fox - 8,100
Richard McClure - 7,898
Shayne Bowen - 7,124
Micael Hagstrom - 6,571
Three drivers did over ten thousand laps, Rob Courtney won with a gap of nearly four thousand laps! At the beginning of the year the most laps coin was seen as the most achievable, I would argue it became the most difficult. Crazy effort by all these guys, huge, huge props!
Massive effort by all the Iron Men and the most laps guys. Congrats to all that got a most laps coin. I know it wasn't easy lol
